Jacobs Wins PokerStars WCOOP High Roller Heads-Up Event #19

The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) at Poker Stars.com is well underway and the most recent congratulations go to Steven “stevesbets” Jacobs for pocketing $560,000 as the winner of Event #19, a High Roller Heads-Up competition.
Jacobs, notoriously known in the online poker world for his extreme verbal rants at the tables, is arguably one of the most feared online poker players at PokerStars.com. Taking on a field of 64 participants who paid the excessive $25,000 to take part in the event, Jacobs was among some of the best pros in poker.
Daniel Negreanu, Chris Moneymaker, Gavin Griffin, Barry Greenstein and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier all made a run for the $1.6m guaranteed prize pool in the WCOOP high roller event, paying only the top 8 finishers. Of these exceptionally talented pros, only Bertrand Grospellier (2nd) and Gavin Griffin (4th) would see a piece of the prize.
“ElkY” Grospellier and “stevesbets” Jacobs went heads-up at the final table to battle it out for the top prize and the sought after WCOOP Bracelet, but in the end, as the clock ticketed towards 1:30 in the morning on September 15th, Jacobs would take the upper hand, the bracelet and the triumphant earnings of more than half a million dollars ($560,000).
