Full Tilt Poker had several tournaments taking place this weekend but the two highlights of the weekend were the $1 Million Guaranteed tournament and the MiniFTOPS Main Event. both tournaments saw very good turnouts and offered large prize pools for those participating.

The MiniFTOPS Main Event was a no limit hold’em tournament with a $50 plus 5 buy-in. a huge number of players competed in this event, 14,428 to be exact. The field created a prize pool of $721,400 and paid out to 1,890 spots.

McFugu and noitall611 would strike a deal during heads up play so even though noitall611 earned the win he did not walk away with the largest prize. McFugu earned $94,076 for second and noitall611 earned $89,982.

The $1 Million Guarantee event is a No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $500 plus 35 buy-in. 2,476 players competed to up the prize pool from $1 million to $1,238,000. 351 spots would earn a pay day with first place earning just over $227,000.

Heads up play would see online players gdluck and Pocketownage420 competing for the first place prize. the difference in first and second place was quite significant, at just over $87,000. Both would fight hard but it would be gdluck who would take down the final pot to earn the first place win.
