Pacific Poker Offering Satellites to APT Macau event
The Asian Poker Tour is a very popular tour in the poker industry. The next event on the APT schedule is just a month away so many online poker rooms are beginning to offer satellites to their players to hopefully win a seat to the event. One such poker room offering seats is Pacific Poker.
Once a week, Pacific Poker is running satellites so their players have a shot at going to Macau to compete in the APT events. The buy-in for the satellite at Pacific Poker is $275 and players will be competing to win a prize package worth $6,500. The package includes the Main event buy-in, accommodation and transfers.
Those who do not want to pay the large buy-in amount for the satellite can participate in sub-satellites that start as low as $2. Those players will have to work their way toward a seat but it would cost less than the $275 buy-in.
The Asian Poker Tour Macau event is set to take place between August 12th and the 23rd. the Macau leg of the APT is one of the more popular stops as Macau has become a popular destination for gambling.
The Macau stop will have thirteen designated side events that range in buy-ins from HK$2,640 and HK$8,800. The main schedule will include eight and six max events, a bounty tournament, a heads up tournament, a shoot-out and multiple teams’ events. There will also be a high rollers event which will have a HK$168,000 buy-in.
The Main Event of the APT stop will have a buy-in of HK$34,400 and will take place over four days with two day one flights. Players will begin with 10,000 in chips and blinds will increase every hour. Over four hundred players are expected to compete so this would generate a nice size prize pool.
