The PokerStars Asian Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) is coming to a close after a very successful first season. This season the APPT has taken on great cities such as Manila and Seoul and is now invading Macau, China as I write this post. However, there is one more big stop to make and that is at the season final in Sydney, Australia.
PokerStars.com though just isn’t sponsoring these great events, they are sending their online poker players to them to have a chance at winning millions of dollars in prizes. Players can qualify for the Sydney Series Finale via one of PokerStars satellite tournaments starting at $2.20.
Or you could of course just shell out the $5,700 in entry money if you have it lying around as well.
This event does have a cap of 600 players so qualify for your seat today at PokerStars. Players who qualify via PokerStars satellite tournaments will receive the following prize package:
- Buy-in to the event
- 5 nights hotel accommodation
- $2,000 cash, to help pay for travel
- Cruise around Sydney Harbour and climbing tour of Sydney Harbour Bridge

This weekend at Full Tilt Poker the sit n’ go tables will be full of people going mad! That’s right it is Sit n’ Go Madness at FTP and players are going crazy to win extra cash at these poker tournaments.
Sit N’ Go Madness offers players a chance to win bonus cash for ending up at the top of the leaderboard for playing in multiple sit and go tournaments. There are currenlty 4 leaderboards, which are based upon the entry fee of the sit n go you play in. Then over the weekend there are 12, four hour blocks of time where players compete for bonus cash by earning as many points as possible in these sit n go poker tournaments.
For example, if you are the top points earner in Group A, which is sit n go tournaments with a buy in of $1 - $2, then you would earn a nice $40 bonus for your efforts. However, if you are a big dog and play in the $50 - $110 sit and go tournaments, then you would take home a cool $1k for winning your 4 hour time block leaderboard.
For each group and each time block the top 7 leaderboard points finishers win bonus cash. The tournaments are running now at Full Tilt and are highlighted in green this weekend only, November 2nd - 4th, 2007. See the graphic below to see how to get involved so you don’t go mad missing out on all the free cash being given away at Full Tilt this weekend.
